Storm Riders 2 AKA Storm Warriors is a 2009 Hong Kong martial arts movie, first chinese movie that was shot in bluescreen.
Story
Storm Warriors is based on Fung Wan, a Manhua (Chinese comics) that translates to “Wind and Cloud”, which are the names of serie’s main characters. First movie just like the animated movie is based on Lord Conquer arc, while the SW is based on the Japanese invasion arc and isn’t considered a direct sequel of the first movie. Story is easy to follow, with lots of action packed CGI fighting scenes, some plot holes that just scream for a sequel.
Visuals
Amazing! A martial arts movie witch so much CGI in it, it looks like “300 meets Final Fantasy Advent Children”, and heh, it even has the same bad guys as the Persian king, i wonder who bought them from whom :D
Audio
Nothing outstanding here i guess.
Enjoyment
Awesome CGI, great fighting scenes, everlasting fight between good and evil with magic, what more could a martial arts fan wish for ? ( I suggest not watching the animated movie, you’ll just end up confused)
