First metal slug game came out early 1996 for neo-geo arcade/console system. In years, it was re-released on many console platforms, until finally, 2009, it was released for windows. The catch? It’s in Korean only. Named simply “Metal Slug”, this game is a package of 4 games, metal slug 1, 2, 3 and X being combination of the first two.

What do we get after 13 years? Pc port with no filtering, no V-sync, no ability to save progress, no extras (like console versions,not some commercial about a game that was released back in 2002), only 4 of 10 Metal Slug games. If you are a hardcore metal slug fan/collector, than this is a must, for everyone else: don’t bother with this one, get either a Neo-RageX or MAME emulator. Or better, get PS2 or Wii and play them all
